Should We Integrate with Axelar Using IBC or EVM? What is the Application Process for EVM Integration

Hello Axelar Community,

We are a blockchain based on the Cosmos ecosystem and we also support EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine). We are considering the best way to integrate with the Axelar network to enable cross-chain functionalities. In this process, we have come across two primary options:

  1. IBC Integration: We understand that integration can be done through IBC, and we have seen the application address for this.
  2. EVM Integration: Since we also support EVM, we are curious about the exact process and application procedures for integrating with Axelar via EVM.

Therefore, we would like to request the following guidance:

  • For a Cosmos-based chain that supports EVM, would you recommend using IBC or EVM for integration? What are the differences or advantages in terms of functionality and performance?
  • If opting for EVM integration, what is the specific application process? Is there an application address or resource link similar to the one for IBC?
