Restructuring Proposal for the Axelar Spanish and Brazilian Communities
After receiving valuable feedback from the community, marketing, and some validators, we decided to adjust our initial 1-year proposal to the usual 6-month period, as is common for regional Axelar communities. We have divided the plan into two 6-month phases, maintaining the same objectives of the first proposal presented here, and requesting half of the initial funding. For this initial phase, we request 78,012 AXL, focusing on the following activities and goals:
Phase One: Actions and Goals for the Next 6 Months
- Monthly Zealy Campaigns: We will conduct monthly Zealy campaigns, updating tasks daily. We will create special activities for the most engaged users. Tasks will include likes, retweets, comments, sharing in other communities, thread creation, audio chats, quizzes, staking, testing Axelar dApps, and more. From these activities, we will select a group of dedicated ambassadors with specific tasks and incentives. Our first experimental Zealy campaign was highly successful, generating more than 4,930 completed tasks by the Hispanic community, showcasing tremendous engagement and potential for Axelar.
- Content Production: We will produce and translate more than 100 monthly posts for each community about Axelar and its ecosystem, including complete threads in Spanish and Portuguese. We will keep the community continuously updated, sharing news about the Axelar ecosystem and answering real-time questions. We will also engage in cross-marketing with other regional Web3 communities and projects integrating with Axelar.
- Educational Content Development: Our developer team will focus on creating a programming course using AxelarSDK. We will produce at least 2 well-documented videos per month for each region (Spanish and Portuguese) and conduct workshops to test the content with the community. These workshops will be key to users’ technical training (Course Roadmap).
- University Outreach: Our commercial and marketing teams will work on contacting universities to present the workshops and align the course content with the faculty. This will pave the way for our Scholarship Program in phase two, aimed at preparing students skilled in Axelar technologies.
- Creation of the Brazilian Community: The Brazilian community is already being prepared. We have shared an initial presentation in more than 15 Brazilian and Portuguese Web3 and development communities, receiving excellent feedback. Many users have already joined the Axelar BR Telegram group and are eagerly awaiting updates, events, and Axelar ecosystem news. We plan to keep the interest alive through incentives and community activities. 3000 AXL per month will be allocated to each community.
- Ongoing AMAs: We will host at least two AMAs per month for each community (Spanish and Brazilian), focusing on Axelar-related topics and projects integrating with the ecosystem. These events will offer a direct line for users to ask questions and stay updated on new developments and integrations. Incentives will also be provided for participants.
- In-Person Events: Despite the limited time for course production and community incentive programs, we commit to attending at least two major in-person Web3 and technology events in both regions (Spain, Brazil, or Portugal) to promote the communities and Axelar adoption ( List of Events).
Budget and Communication:
We request 78,012 AXL for this initial 6-month phase. Within this budget, we will allocate 3000 AXL per month for incentives, community activities, and AMAs for each regional community, ensuring users remain motivated and engaged. We will also launch a YouTube channel to host all recorded public workshops and podcasts featuring guests integrating with Axelar, in both Spanish and Portuguese, ensuring that education and participation continue to grow. The Spanish community will continue its steady growth, with ongoing updates. In August, despite working without funding, we produced nearly 100 posts about the Axelar ecosystem, which can be followed on Telegram - Axelar Network ES and Twitter - Axelar ES.
Conclusion:
This 6-month proposal for phase one represents a renewed commitment to the Spanish and Brazilian Axelar communities, with a strong focus on education, participation, and sustainable growth. We will maintain constant communication through monthly reports detailing the work carried out by our team and progress within the communities.
Several validators have already joined our internal working group to meet our developers and review the entire plan presented here. If you are a validator, please contact us through Twitter - JLiBercry or through the regional communities presented here. Take this opportunity to introduce yourself to the community and your work on Axelar. We will support each of you in any way needed.
Additionally, as a community experiment with no profit intention, we have created a token called Wreck-it Ralph on Web3 ($RALPH). This token will be distributed among those supporting this proposal and the most dedicated community users. It will be distributed fairly as a symbolic gift for those who accompany us on this journey toward a decentralized community development lab for Axelar and its mass adoption.
