Proposal for the Axelar regional community moderation.
- Participating regions and estimated amount requested:
- French: per month 3500 AXL per month and 1500 AXL for events per quarter. (21000+3000 AXL per full period)
- Ukraine: 2334 AXL per month and 3300 AXL for events per quarter. (14004+6600 AXL per full period)
- Arabic: 2334 AXL per month and 3000 AXL for events per quarter (14000+6000 AXL per full period)
- Russia: 3500 AXL per month and 3000 AXL for events per quarter. (21000+6000 AXL per full period)
- South Korea: 1167 AXL per month and 1000 AXL for events per quarter. (7002 +2000 AXL per full period)
- General moderation: 2000 AXL per month (12000 AXL per full period)
- Turkish: 2334 AXL per month and 1500 AXL for events per quarter. (14000+3000 AXL per full period)
- Thailand: 2400 AXL per month and 2440 AXL for events per quarter (14400+4880 AXL per full period)
- Chinese: 2334 AXL per month and 1300 AXL for events per period. (15304+1300 AXL per full period)
- Total amount requested: 175410 AXL per full period for salary and events from August to January
Timeline:
- Aug 10th 2024: Share the proposal with the community for feedback
- Aug 12th 2024: Go live with proposal on mainnet (if no major feedback is received)
- Sep 1th 2024: Initiate payment process for regional mods

Each regional mod is responsible for growing their community and reporting KPI’s to the broader Axelar community on a monthly basis in the form of an activity report posted to the forum outlining the number of messages sent, chat growth and number of announcements translated and posted.

During the previous period (Feb- Jul 2024), we conducted 6 AMAs with more than 200 participants, tasks related to Axelar network were organized: token staking and delegating, participation in SummerCamp by Squid, likes+reposts of Axelar official Twitter account posts, etc.
6000 $AXL were distributed among the participants for fulfilling various conditions (for more information, see the monthly reports, transaction hashes are also indicated there: February, March, April, May, June and July)
The number of active participants in the telegram chat is more than 50
9180 messages were sent in Feb- Jul.
Despite the fact that we managed to increase the activity (involvement) of participants, the number of new participants is almost at the same level, new people come, but someone leaves the telegram channel, many factors contribute to this: the complication of the market (more involvement of market participants is needed), sibylls who lose interest after TGE, a bear market and others.
Now our main goal for the next six months is to increase the number of participants.
We hope that AMA, contests will attract new participants to the community. And we plan to overcome the mark of 1000 telegram subscribers in this period.
Our goals and objectives for the coming period:
Organization of six quality educational AMAs including with representatives of other Axelar-related projects, organization of events on interaction with Axelar ecosystem (onchain transactions, social media support, participation on project calls, etc.)
Team composition: 2 moderators distributing tasks and availability; 1 moderator organizing AMAs, contests.
Metrics of success: Increased community engagement
Messages in telegram: more than 1200 per month
Total number of participants: more than 1000
Active users: more than 40 per month
Participation of at least 30 community members in AMAs.

For the last quarter, we organized an event called AxelarThaiQuest, where participants were required to write about their favorite Dapps on Axelar. The results were very positive, with 50 submissions and over 7,500 impressions on Twitter. Additionally, we hosted Axelar Thai Quest, which gain over 2,500 impressions on Twitter and attracted around 30 participants
Activities carried out include:
- Managing and supporting the Thai community across different channels (Telegram, Discord).
- Translating and sharing important updates and news with the community.
- Assisting in organizing and promoting community events.
In the next two quarters, we aim to organize six events, one each month. We plan to reward participants with 800 AXL per event. While we will remain flexible and adapt our events based on community feedback, we aim to maintain a theme that is both academic and fun. This approach will allow the community to learn more about Axelar and in an enjoyable way. For examples

What problem is the proposal solving and how is the problem being solved?
Unfortunately, little English is spoken in Arabic-speaking countries and members cannot follow the latest updates on Axelar and misunderstand some topics. It’s hard for the users to use the platform and to express themselves in English, as the language constitutes an obstacle for the user/developer in understanding how the platform works or how to use it.
We aim to continue the Arabic community In order to provide support to Arab users and developers and provide resources in the Arabic language that help users and developers involve themselves in the project and to start using the platform.
Why is Axelar Arabic needed?
The Arabic-speaking region consists of 25 Arab speaking countries which are home to around 422 million speakers. According to an analysis conducted by Triple A, there are more than 10 million users who own cryptocurrencies in the Arab world and have many developers. We have a large market full of promising opportunities.

Moderating the Axelar Turkish community on Telegram, Discord, Twitter, and Medium, which includes:
- Answering all Axelar-related questions and concerns from community members.
- Informing the community about the project and its vision.
- Answering basic technical questions (e.g., transferring funds, using Satellite, staking).
- Translating and sharing all TG and DC announcements, news, and Twitter posts.
- Monitoring all posted messages and ensuring the community follows the general rules set by the team.
- Translating and sharing all blog posts and articles from the project on the Axelar Turkey Medium page.
- Holding events.
Proposed Future Activities:
- Running incentivized quizzes to engage the community (One-time event):

- The quiz will take place on the Axelar Turkey Telegram channel.
- There will be 10 questions asked.
- In the event of a tie, a tiebreaker question will be asked.

Impact:
The Turkish community is proud to be one of the first regional communities to support Axelar from its early days. The Turkish community is vital to the Axelar ecosystem due to its significant user base and potential for growth. Fostering and engaging this community will lead to increased adoption and contribute to the project in the long run.
Goals, Deliverables & Timeline:
- Quiz: Planned for February. Aim to engage the community and grow the Telegram community by 10% with about 50 participants.
- AMA Session: Planned for April. Aim to provide valuable insights and engage the community, targeting an active participation rate of 50 members.
Our target for this quarter is to make the Telegram channel more active, increasing the number of messages by 10% compared to the previous month.

Creative Image Contest:
Planned for September 17, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, we will host an event where Axelar accompanies you: community members can take a photo related to the Mid-Autumn Festival that includes Axelar, such as the Axelar logo or an X symbol made with their hands.

Axelar Educational Challenge:
A series of educational events and tasks will be organized to engage the community and enhance their knowledge about Axelar and its ecosystem.
Participants must actively engage in these events and successfully complete the tasks.
Winners will be determined based on their activity and the knowledge they demonstrate during the educational activities.
Prizes may include the opportunity to become an “Educational Ambassador” for Axelar, with additional community privileges.
